Joy is currently completing her M.A. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Bethel University. She is training to become a play therapist. Joy has worked with children in various settings in the Midwest and internationally (including Cambodia, Thailand, Myanmar, South Korea, Brazil, and Lebanon) over the last decade. Her experience involves teaching or tutoring children and teens in school settings, and doing volunteer work with at-risk and trafficked children. She is passionate about seeing children heal from trauma. She desires to see all children loved and respected and come to know their worth and value.
